Billy Graham (1918–2018) was an influential American evangelical Christian evangelist and Southern Baptist minister. Known as one of the most prominent religious figures of the 20th century, he famously led global "Crusades," advising multiple U.S. presidents and preaching the Gospel to hundreds of millions worldwide. His enduring legacy and ministry style are defined by several core elements: Over six decades, Graham preached in-person to an estimated 215 million people across more than 185 countries. He utilized massive stadium gatherings paired with a "come as you are" message of repentance and salvation. Graham mastered modern media. He was the founder of the (BGAE) in 1950.
