In 2015, before David Dobrik became one of the biggest vloggers on YouTube, Tate Canyon met David at a party during VidCon and showed him what a vlog camera was. 📹 At the time, David hadn’t started the YouTube channel that would eventually make him famous. Tate was already filming and documenting everything with a small vlog camera, and during this interaction, he showed David how the camera worked and explained the idea behind carrying a camera around and turning everyday life into videos. Years later, David Dobrik would become known for his fast-paced vlogs, huge friend group, Vlog Squad, celebrity appearances, and one of the most recognizable styles in YouTube history. This footage captures David Dobrik during the very early days of his internet career — back at VidCon in 2015, before the Vlog Squad, before his massive YouTube channel, and before the David Dobrik we know today. A crazy piece of early YouTube history and a look at what the creator world looked like before David Dobrik became a household name.
