Exceptionally high tides have been flooding coastal areas of California and Florida in the US. San Diego and Los Angeles recorded their highest coastal water levels in more than a century on Monday (26 October), according to preliminary NOAA data. The recent full Hunter’s Moon contributed to the so-called king tides, alongside warmer ocean waters and El Niño conditions. Strong winds also worsened flooding in Florida. #KingTides #California #Florida #CoastalFlooding #ExtremeWeather
