A man suspected of knocking a woman into the path of a bus on Putney Bridge was found dead by his brother-in-law after missing a family meal, his inquest has heard. Nicholas Brandram, 44, was discovered at his home in Chiswick on 15 September, West London Coroner's Court was told. He had been arrested in June on suspicion of attempted grievous bodily harm in relation to the incident of May 2017, when a woman was shoved into the road by a jogger. His family say he was not involved. Opening and adjourning the inquest, West London coroner Melanie Lee said she had been told of a referral to the Independent Office of Police Conduct and was suspending the hearing pending the outcome of its inquiry.
