US President Donald Trump will meet Irish President Catherine Connolly as part of a two day visit to the Republic of Ireland this weekend. He will meet Connolly and hold a bilateral meeting with the Taoiseach (Irish prime minister) Micheál Martin. During her presidential campaign last year, Connolly called Trump a "bully". She has been critical of the US previously over its stance on Gaza but said she would "meet and greet" the US president if he visited Ireland.
