A man has lost a court case to try and recover hundreds of thousands of dollars that he had lavished on his ex-girlfriend while they were together. Singaporean CEO Chander Agarwal spent S$468,000 ($369,200; £273,260) on gifts for Felicia Lee, which he claimed were "interest-free loans". But the judge ruled he had "willingly" spent money on her, and that he had become "embittered and was determined to extract a price from her" once the relationship had soured.
