The rescues in Nepal have given renewed hope to some families still waiting to find out what happened to missing relatives after the flash flooding hit the Nepal-Tibet border nine days ago. Nepal's army search for survivors is ongoing, but mud and rocks are making rescue efforts difficult. There are now more than 1,000 confirmed dead and more than 5,300 still missing in Nepal and Tibet.
