Happy birthday to one of my sHeros...Angela Davis. When I was about 11, I spoke her name in a poem I recited at a school assembly, a poem called "Black Statue of Liberty" by @jessicacaremoor and here I am today at 20, seeing her in real life. When I met her this past weekend, all I could do was hug her tight and say thank you. Thank you Ms. Davis for your courageousness, pride and powerful knowledge...words can't begin to say it all but thank you.
