#lessonsfromcacao The last few weeks have been a bit out of sync. I noticed the grounding mat didn't come out at all Cacao was drunk as often Calm app... Sure that was going to sleep Oura, my daily readings dropping off. A few years ago I did something to see how long it took to build a habit. There's the fallacy of 21 for a habit to build . I found to build a habit so strong that I found it ridiculously hard to break and stop was way longer than that. To a point where stopping it, took so much will power. Was the habit an addiction? Where does that turning point happen? Is it healthy for you? My habit was Scots Gaelic on Duolingo ( random) I managed after 780+ days to stop... ( I have restarted after nearly 200 days, because I genuinely want to learn. To keep brain cells working) . Creating good habits start with a single step. You will stumble, you'll find excuses not to do something. But pick yourself up and start again. Whether it's being tidier, learning an instrument, learning to read, to cook, having mindful practices, making sure you walk more, drink or vape less . Keep going. Have an accountability partner, have a reward system, do it with a friend. So back to my cacao moments, my grounding mat and calm app.. I promise you I'm back. The thing is I feel better when I do this daily practice and my mental wellbeing shows I miss it too. #mindset #habit #cacao #grounding
