Wow. 😍 Vast swaths of northern Chile’s Atacama desert have been covered in flowers after El Niño brought heavy rain to the area. The Atacama desert is one of the driest places on Earth and is sandwiched between the Andes Mountains and the Pacific Ocean. Seeds and bulbs can lay dormant for years before just the right amount of rain arrives for them to bloom. #ElNino #Flowers #Atacama #Chile #Desert
